The job holder is responsible for managing the demand and capacity process for knitting plants by maximizing machine utilization while meeting customer delivery requirements. Oversee and manage the production planning process, along with inventory control for yarn and tubes. Ensure customer requested deliveries are met within the set parameters.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for overall planning forecasting and coordination with factory
- Initial demand validation and allocation at forecast stage
- Follow up on tube development status with relevant teams and flag potential risk to internalizing production
- Follow up weekly tube knitting, dying and fabrics delivery plans
- Manage delivery confirmation and ensuring quoted delivery is met
- Ensure accurate and optimal capacity planning on emphasizing cost reduction to increase profitability
- Generate all necessary reports regarding planning vs actual knitting plan, dyeing plan and shipment for monthly sales and operations planning discussion
- Monitor and evaluate raw material inventory, manpower planning and production recording
- Coordinate with the yarn supplier to review yarn flow and on-time shipment
- Follow up on production performances and drive towards scheduled shipments and delivery exposure management
- Develop and maintain status information that provides accurate analysis of raw material, work in process, and finished goods status
Job Requirements
- Degree holder or above, preferably in textile technology or related disciplines
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in apparel or textile manufacturing
- With experience in knit or dye planning, coordination and production management would be an advantage
- Hands on experience in apparel or textile planning is preferred
- Excellent organizational, negotiation and problem-solving skills, with ability to create good relationships and work across multi-cultural teams
- Good analytical ability, strong in MS Excel and data analytical skills (power BI and ERP system knowledge)
- Excellent communication skills, proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese
